Today I passed a galah creche in the suburbs, quite normal for this time of year. One adult (a female) plus 14 unruly fledglings.
That seems consistent with the flocks of this kind I see each year at about this time, but I had never thought to count the number of adults or see which sex they were before. Is there any research on these questions?
