Mt Majura Woodland Surveys were conducted on 30 Nov and 3 Dec. Some sites were still very wet underfoot and the grass was thigh high! Birds were good with a number of small birds at a couple of the sites further away from the housing. These included: Speckled Warblers; Brown, Buff-rumped and Striated Thornbills; Striated and Spotted Pardalotes; Superb Fairywren; Weebills and Grey Fantails. Highlight for the survey was a Channel-billed Cuckoo seen by Duncan at site 7. Superb Parrots and Gang Gangs were seen at a couple of sites. 35 species seen over nine sites.
