Used to have White-browed Scrubwrens nesting in this overgrown garden, now really overgrown and gone to weeds but no small birds since the Noisy Miners moved in, just currawongs, cockatoos, lorikeets.  But there’s still the resident frogmouths snoozing in the ancient Dawson River Callistemon. They enliven the evening dog walk, pale grey shapes gliding by , with no sound, probably because of the soft plumage.
