David I’m wondering what your area is? Here in Hackett we have an odd couple of Rosellas (Eastern male, Crimson female) that’s been visiting daily all through the winter. We now see them behaving like a couple, he sometimes feeds her. These days he comes mostly
on his own, guarding his patch and seeing off other Rosellas. Sometimes he appears to call her and she turns up briefly - so we hope there’s a nest and that they might bring offspring in due course. Libby

This morning I watched one Crimson R and one Eastern R flying and feeding together and then seemingly pair bonding by coming together and touching bills. Perhaps I should watch for hybrids in the area. I have recorded a couple over the
years.
