Thanks Richard, I have seen WBCS a couple of times briefly in the Hughes area, usually in late winter. I know you get them sometimes down Yarralumla Creek. The northern races are very common around Cairns, Darwin &c, but I think robusta is very
sporadic, apart from the ACT I've only ever seen it in the Capertee Valley.
These birds were mentioned on the ebird alert email for 8 October. Glad they stayed around.
As to different CS spp associating, in se Asia/Wallacea I've heard of different CS spp at a fruiting fig tree, or other good food source. And a few years ago in the autumn ACT there was a report of a migrating Cicadabird at the New Line Quarry that was
keeping company with BFCSs.
