The pair that I followed at Carwoola nested on the same fork for 3 years then moved to another tree (about 100 m away) for 2 years and then back to the original fork for the last 3 years I observed them.

Way back in (at least) 2007-2009, they used that branch regularly every year , e.g. this was 25 Oct 2007.

 

 

 

Then some tree felling and other disturbance in the park seemed to put them off for a few years, not  returning I think irregularly, until 2017?

 

And they were definitely there last year, same branch!

The Frogmouths are nesting on exactly the same branch as they've used in previous years.
