I was watching form my kitchen window a Magpie-lark chasing a small moving thing around my back yard. I first thought it was a big spider but it seemed to orient itself more efficiently than a spider would do. I went to get my binoculars and it was still there when I came back and could see it was a very small mouse. It eventually ran to hide under the loose bark at the base of my big tree where I went out to have a close look at it. I don’t think the Magpie-lark actually made contact but the chase went on for about 2 minutes that I know of..
