Not sure enough to submit an eBird record, but I'm fairly sure I saw a Spotted Quail-thrush fly across Long Gully Rd this morning and land on the ground and scurry into bushes (flew from Isaacs Ridge into Wanniassa Hills reserve). Could not
stop (no space roadside at that point and a truck only metres behind me). So if you're in those reserves (which do have some suitable habitat) keep an eye out. I know the species was reported at Mt Majura about 5 yrs ago, but certainly uncommon in the suburban
reserves.
