There is a book called "Top End Birding" written by Mike Reed which covers
Kakadu, Pine Creek, Katherine, Mataranka, Victoria River, Timber Creek and
Kununurra. It is/was available in newsagencys around the Top End. It is only a
slim volume of 24 pages, green cover with photos of Hooded Parrot, Gouldian
Finch and Banded Fruit-dove on cover.

I wonder is there such a book? I have a book Birds of Australia's top end
(Denise Goodfellow). That is the closest match I know of. An internet search
found this NT Bird Specialists - Luke Paterson Australian Bird Guide
