Namarag Reserve. Wednesday April 20

We will visit the new reserve Namarag. It is part of the Molonglo River Reserve, along with Kama and the Lower Molonglo Reserve.

Meeting point: the temporary carpark on John Gorton Drive, about one kilometre on the Denman Prospect side of Coppins Crossing. From here we'll follow the short track to Butters Bridge, which is one of the entry points into Namarag.

Time: 9.00am.

The walk will be largely on tracks, and should take 2-3 hours. It is an easy walk of about 3km, taking in the riverside, a newish dam, grasslands, and several lookouts.

Bring: sturdy shoes, water, sunscreen, hat.
