An important point to remember about the Stock Reserves is that many/most of them are now leased to private owners who can get very grumpy if birders enter their property.

Sorry all.  I pressed Send too soon.  I see that Ben is interested in Stock Route rather than Stock Reserves.

Hi Ben
I am aware of at least two stock routes in the ACT, these being the Hall TSR and the Uriarra TSR. Both of these have eBird Hotspots on them so are easy to find. There may well be more.  Just outside our boundaries I bird at Bango Creek TSR and Tinkers Creek TSR too.  There is a fabulous directory of TSRs, titled The Long Paddock now out of print.  I have a copy and a quick look indicates 7 TSRs in the ACT (their existence would perhaps predate the establishment of the ACT I guess).
I can send you a scan of the relevant pages of the Directory if you like.

Good morning,

Am hoping to undertake a few walks to observe birdlife within the Travelling Stock Routes of the ACT.

Does anyone possibly have any maps and/or information which identify their locations and their accessibility that may be able to point me in the right direction.

Cheers
