Dear Sz – Can we clarify that we are speaking about ordinary small pest mosquitoes?  I also attract and have a reaction to such ‘bites’.  Biting midges and sandflies are different groups, that I have not encountered in Canberra.  I would be alarmed to think that they have arrived here. In the UK, ‘midges’ are usually non-‘biters’.

Dear Coggies

Does anyone have tips for their control {except normal pest control firm ] which I’ll be ringing again tomorrow.

Their ph advice was to empty any water containers in garden(!!!)  There were only 5 in all ,for birds to refresh wash etc; now all gone.

Is there some way one can obviate this obvious approach?

I am `wearing’ multiple bites & allergic rashes that result from their attention.

Sz
