Went to the lake to do a short walk on Drakeford Drive side. Was seduced into a walk right around by a pair of Chestnut Teal, closely accompanied by a pair of Pink-eared Ducks, on far side not far from the silt traps. Both species very uncommon on the lake, and it was the first time I’ve seen Chestnut Teal on the lake. (Photos in my eBird list). Huge numbers (over 50) of Australasian Swamphens, several with quite small babies. Not a single Eurasian Coot sighted. Around 150 Little Corellas. Lots of people, dogs and bicycles.
