Members may be interested in reading the COG submission to ACT planning authorities, which has relevance to Bluetts Block.  The sub opposes an EIS exemption being given on Block 12 (Denman Prospect) so it can be developed/urbanised.  Submission has explanation/relationship with Bluetts/Stromlo blocks 402/403.

COG has been working with the Conservation Council, FOG and Jean Casburn/Alice Wells (Bluetts champions) on this issue over the last few weeks.

COG will be continuing to press ACT Gov for Bluetts with Block 12 to be fully protected nature reserve

Cheers

Jenny Bounds

COG Conservation Officer
