Good afternoon,

Am planning an informal morning excursion out to Bracks Hole Road and Blue Range Campsite area.

For observing Red Capped Robin, Yellow tailed cockatoo, Great Crested Grebe (with chicks), nesting Australian Darters also with healthy chicks.  Also various other species including Eastern Yelliw Robin, various treecreeper and honeyears, wrens, possible bower bird, Rufus fantail. And that's just a small sample of what I was easily able to photograph Australia Day.

Meeting 7am Saturday, February 5th at Stromlo Forest Park Western Carpark (-35.326415, 149.022387)

Max 8 people so as not to disturb nesting birds.

Contact Ben Milbourne 0406375014

End after lunch about 1pm. Feel free to leave home earlier as needed.

Please BYO morning tea, water, and a packed lunch

NOTE This is an area where also successfully spotlighted multiple Frogmouths and heard Barking Owl (I think).

All roads easy and safe, some potholes

Please note the walk along the water's edge at Bracks Hole is rough, many rocks and lots to maneuver over about 40m.

Cheers Ben
