We often write about Koel noises and rain connections. Last night I heard lots of Koel calls, then I realised after often muting and unmuting the sound on my TV that Koel calls were included in the audio soundtrack during the 9 p.m. Sydney fireworks. Featuring aboriginal dance group at the time. Same noted again, during the repeat on ABC in the last hour so I’m not imagining. (Though there have been Koels yelling outside my home too for the last several days – and I heard the young one again this morning). I believe I recall same time last year writing about hearing the call of the Barking Owl played on didgeridoo.
