Subscribers may be interested in this very interesting study, different from but a quite natural extension of Michael’s detailed breeding studies on which he has presented to COG on several occasions.  Peter Fullagar is one of the co-authors.  Jack Holland

Jack, I enclose instructions on how to get to our latest paper. We are very pleased with it. Australian Zoologist has gone to a lot of trouble to come up with a way for the reader to listen to the actual recorded sounds.

I have paid for it to be Open Access, so anybody can read it and listen to the sounds.

If appropriate, I thought it might be worth circulating the instructions below to COG members?

Cheers Michael.

Go to this DOI

Then you can go to the pdf and save it to read (if you read it on your computer the pictures are in colour).

Go to Supplementary data on top left and you can download ‘All sound files zipped’ onto your computer.

Then you can read the paper and listen to the actual sounds as you come across them.
