Not good news.

 

More uplifting is the video of the stilts linked below which was taken on 23 November just after the family left the nest area for the first time and shows the young pushing in to the feathers of one parent – a good place to be on a cold, overcast day. (In case there are any questions about me getting too close to them, the video was taken from the Kellys Loop path).

I have just been down to check on them and after the heavy rain only one nest was built high enough and the other two are under water :( No sign of the recent chicks.
