Shearwaters at Green Cape

Last weekend I went to Green Cape and got to see huge waves rolling in from the southeast. Riding the waves were hundreds of Shearwaters. I’ve posted in ABID on Facebook but so far no responses. I’m hoping that some of the COG pelagic veterans might have some ideas. I think they were mostly Short-tailed Shearwaters, but I also suspect there were a couple of species present. Any help would be appreciated! The wing patterns don’t seem to match any of the birds in my field guides.
