Sure. It has been surprising that there had been no posts about the event (unlike prior years). Big differences I found this year is the vast number of people
about. Car parks at Pine Island, Kambah Pool, Namadgi visitors centre, all almost full. People, bikes & dogs in all the reserve areas I tried. Only peaceful place was Castle Hill but too many birds and too big an area for me to get a reasonable count by myself.
A Tawny Frogmouth nest with chicks virtually at the Kambah Pool car park in (I think) the same tree as last year. And a Grey Butcherbird nest with chicks about 200 metres further along, at the Bullen range sign along the Kambah Pool track. No Trillers or Wb
Woodswallows (unlike last year).

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Blitz weekend
After a fairly dour forecast early last week, the weather gods shone for us on the weekend. Thank you to everyone who participated in the Blitz, whether it was in your backyard, the local park or distant Namadgi. It was just lovely to be
out after the restrictions of the last few months.
The eBird lists have been flowing in. I haven’t had time to trawl through them yet but if you have a special moment or bird, feel free to share it. One of my first birds when I stepped outside on Saturday morning was a Scarlet Honeyeater
– not a bad way to start any day but especially a Blitz weekend.
Keep the lists coming if you are still to enter them (share with COG Blitz), or post datasheets to PO Box 348 Jamison Centre, or send an email with your results.
Cheers
