I took a longer drive out along Boboyan Road to the Southern end of Old Boboyan Road and had the place to myself. Interesting there is an eBird hotspot there but only 5 lists with the last one last Year. I went looking for bugs but did note the Birds as well. A Grey Currawong calling for several minutes on my arrival and plenty of Pardalotes calling as well. I spotted a Brown-headed Honeyeater with a beak full of bugs so must have a nest somewhere there. Plenty of White-naped Honeyeaters buzzing around and a few White-eared as well. I did not find too many bugs so maybe i should have looked harder for the Birds.

Another spot that is worth a look is Grassy Creek Firetrail at the NSW Border, again there is a hotspot but with only 7 lists and again the last one last Year. A nice walk takes you down to Westermans Homestead where there are toilets. I have not been there for a couple of Years but recall plenty of birds around but again at the time i was looking for bugs. If you are with Telstra, there is also reception at the parking area.

Boboyan Road is in good condition apart from a couple of spots that you need to slow down on to avoid the potholes. Well worth the drive to avoid the crowds.

went out along Corin Rd this morning. Have never seen so many cars out there. Many parked roadside at both Gibralter Falls and Woods Reserve, both of which are CLOSED. At every entry to firetrails there were multiple cars. Square Rock carpark full. Carpark near start of Stockyard Spur track (across the dam) full.  I did not see a single person wearing a mask, even those I passed at Corin Dam and Smokers Trail carparks (I did have my mask on).  Passed steady stream of cars as I drove back out to Tidbinbilla Rd, and many more on that road, heading out to Tidbinbilla or Corin Rd.  Won't be back there at weekends for a while!
