Checking eBird I find that I had recorded European Greenfinch at Bungendore Meadow Dam in 2015.  (I am surprised I don't remember this sighting!)  There are a few other records in the vicinity of the Eastern side of Lake George and around Tarago.

Hi David,

I also saw the Shelducks with 3 young at Trucking Yard, on Tuesday this week, there were also 9 Whistling Ducks at Trucking Yard on that date, and 4 Greenfinches amongst a flock of Goldfinches and Sparrows, which I thought was unusual. There was another pair of Shelducks with 4 young at the Bungendore Sewage Ponds as well, plus several other pairs at both sites. Good to see that they are doing well in the Bungendore area.

Hope you are well,
Cheers, Luke

Greetings. We have only a tiny number of breeding records of the White-necked Heron in COG’s area of interest.

This afternoon I visited one of my neighbours’ properties where this species is currently breeding. I observed an adult sitting on a nest which is in a tall eucalyptus tree overhanging their bottom dam. One of the landowners saw three adults in flight near the nest earlier in the day. They advise that, on 5 Sep 2021, they first observed two of the herons building the nest. 'Over the next few weeks, we have seen them flying around, being chased by nesting magpies, and flying off when we approach’, they advised. I will add some photographs to the eBird record in due course.

Also … three Oz shelducklings at Trucking Yard Lane dam, Bungendore, this morning, and 12 Plumed Whistling-Ducks at the Bungendore Meadows Dam.
