In the original article, there is a video showing the bird manipulating the pebbles, with some difficulty.  But the bird appears to be on a verandah railing which suggests it may be domesticated and specially fed by keepers.  I have saved the video but it is 24MB and so I can’t share it via the group.  But I could send it personally or put it in the cloud (G-drive?).

Well that is a new type of story. On face value of the observations it appears that the conclusions are correct. I wonder why there is no mention of how this bird feeds itself.
