So many birds about! Just spotted a pied butcher bird in the garden and have
been sharing our apricot tree blossoms with many crimson and eastern rosellas.
Over the weekend saw a pair of noisy friarbirds on Red Hill, the first we’ve
seen in years. Also on Red Hill, saw spotted pardalotes among a group of
superb blue wrens and heard a tawny frogmouth. Plus the usual large number of
neighbourhood satin bower birds, gang gangs and sulphur crested cockatoos. We
see gang gangs every day coming for water at our bird baths, with the record in
the garden at one time being 26. The choughs are about in force too.
