I have noticed similar even over recent weeks. However a word of caution deciding they are young birds as I have also seen both Sulphur-crested Cockatoos and Little Corellas feeding begging birds that turned out to have Parrot Beak and Feather Disease. I
have watched lone birds with obvious PBFD give this begging call even when there are no other cockatoos in sight. At present I have around 4 or 5 different Little Corellas with PBFD in different stages around my place and occasionally hear this begging call.
