We have had at least that number of Rainbow Lorikeets in two flowering eucalypts in Derwent Street, Lyons, right under Oakey Hill for at least the last week.

No amount of looking or listening has turned any into the other possible species, however.

Around 8.30AM I saw a flock of around 30 Rainbow lorikeets that flew between flowering Eucalypts within the suburb and Oakey hill.

It was the first time I had seen a large flock of these birds in this area.
