That’s a good point, I hadn’t guessed they might be stopping so close. As they flew over they would have been heading directly to Goyder St Boomanulla Oval area,
so maybe that’s where they go, with the overflow passing on to Telopea Park. I’ll also keep an eye out for them there.

I have recently observed Corellas roosting in the southern end of Telopia Park and the gums along Goyder St near Boomanulla Oval, Narrabundah. Very noisy events. Hard to count, but roughly say 100 in the former and 50 in the latter. Very
casual estimate.

The Corellas just flew over me and Capital Golf Course, heading north in the half dark at 5:15pm, I assume to roost. I counted
850 ±100. I don’t know if anyone is still following their roosting but the trajectory and time suggest Jerra Wetlands or Mt Ainslie/Majura.

Subject: [Canberrabirds] Corellas
While driving home from Fyshwick this afternoon i spotted a large flock on the property on the South Eastern corner of Hindmarsh Drive and Monaro Highway. The shot i will add is
zoomed back to 100mm to get all the birds in frame but i also took several shots at 400mm to do a rough count. I estimate 800+ Little Corellas. Also there was at least three Long-billed Corella but there were no Sulphur-crested Cockatoos.
