Thank you Cathy. This species is still listed as an unusual one in the ACT, so
please submit an Unusual Bird Report form; details are in the December 2020
issue of Canberra Bird Notes. Posts to this discussion list do not get into any
observations databases.
Also, we have no breeding records for the Blue-faced Honeyeater in the ACT, so
it would be great if you can give thought to how confident you are about the
possible immature bird, and consider including it in the Unusual Bird Report
form if you are confident.

I heard this making a noise in our back garden yesterday and found him/her
enjoying the protea. First time I have seen one in the ACT.
There was what I presume was an immature nearby which I did not manage to get a
usable photo of.
