I arrived home at lunchtime today, and heard a persistent "yapping" call that I didn't recognise. I assumed it was a young koel as it was being fed by a Red Wattlebird, but didn't sound like one. I eventually got a good look at it: golden crown, long tail etc. - a first for me. :-) -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Paul Taylor Veni, vidi, tici - I came, I saw, I ticked. -- This is the email announcement and discussion list of the Canberra Ornithologists Group.
