Grey butcherbird

Last evening a grey butcherbird  materialised in our garden and was back this 
morning when it hung around from about 7.30  until 10. Some of this perched on 
the garden furniture close to the house. It also noticed its reflection in the 
windows and tried to engage with it.  Lots of song. I think it has been in the 
area (behind Manuka) for maybe a week if my hearing  serves me will, though 
these are the first sightings this year. Last year we had several visits, but 
they were a couple of months later, from mid April.
