I have one in my garden here in Florey now. It’s still giving the occasional
begging chirp, but also feeding itself on fallen plums under our plum trees.
Numerous wattlebirds around, but I haven’t seen or heard it being fed, so it
may be on the cusp of being fully independent, though its flying skills still
leave a great deal to be desired.
