I was just in my front yard and saw what I thought was a Crimson Rosella come out of my plum tree to land on the ground. I thought this strange as there was nothing on the ground there for it to eat. I didn’t see it fly off or walk around so I went looking for it and found a dead bird. It had just dropped out of the tree, dead. Though still warm, probably from the sun, it may have been dead for a while as it is a bit stiff.

I have preserved it for the CSIRO.
