I was surprised this morning walking in the Western Foreshore Park (Lake Ginninderra) - just south of the dam (-35.223400,149.065743) - to see a colony of flying foxes. in the casuarinas.

Checking on the Canberra Nature Map, there is a report from 20 January 2020 for the same location that the bats seen then were Little Red Flying Foxes, Pteropus scapulatus, not the Grey-headed Flying Foxes as at Commonwealth Park..

See:  https://canberra.naturemapr.org/sightings/4248484

Does anyone know if they over-wintered at Lake Ginninderra?
