I headed out to Namadgi this morning to see if I could survey some sites Nicki advised me were missed during the Blitz. About 5km past end of the bitumen on Brindabella Rd the powers that be are undertaking major reconstructive works - the road,
as far as the eye could see, was actually ploughed - big rocks and large clods of dirt on the surface - my AWD car would have bogged within metres, and only a truck could have negotiated it (a number of large trucks were heading up as I headed back down).
There had been Road Work signs, but that wasn't what I expected! I suggest you avoid it for the time being...
