if you happen to be passing, drop in at Rowes Lagoon (about 20km this side of Goulburn) - Edmondson VC rest area.
I was passing today and thought I'd drop in for 5 minutes - a few weeks ago water was over the top of the reeds, and no birds. Today - what a change! Probably still too high for Lathams Snipe, but the bird list I submitted included 2 Glossy Ibis, 3 Musk
Ducks (M and F), 2 Royal Spoonbills, 12 Pied Stilt (conservative), close to 40 swans, shovellers, a Great Egret and a pair of Shelducks - all seen without a scope, from the carpark area. (A scope would be useful if you're thinking of going out there).
