Magpie-lark on nest

A few weeks ago I mentioned that a Magpie-lark attacked the window of my car as I pulled into the carpark of No.1 Holt Playing field, but I wasn’t sure if this indicated a nesting attempt. I pulled up in the same location this afternoon and noticed a bird sitting on the nest which is placed in a winter-bare tree with no protection from the elements. Perhaps this particular pair are inexperienced first-timers.
