I went to Mittagong yesterday for a family event. The amount of water in the landscape was amazing. Puddles, sheets of water, gullies flowing with rushing water, overflowing dams....   While Lake George is not full as I recall it being many years ago, it was VERY wet there. But the biggest surprise was Rowes Lagoon - a huge lake. Last summer I didn't bother trying to do the regular surveys of  that area for Latham's Snipe because it was bone dry.
