Over the weekend of the 25/26 July the Campbell choughs’ nest that was being built on 26 June sadly dropped out of the tree. The weakening of the nest could have been because of interference in the nest by a S-c Cockatoo and by 2 Gang-gangs a few days earlier or, perhaps, heavy rain.   Today I found the same group of choughs (10) attending a nest in the same trees in Anzac Parade (near the Vietnam War Memorial) as they nested in last year.  One was collecting grass etc for nest lining and when I was watching the nest, two choughs appeared to be courting there.
