I recorded a honeyeater at Kelly’s Swamp as being a New Holland Honeyeater, but after looking at the photos I’m wondering if it’s a hybrid with a White-cheeked Honeyeater. Earlier at the ANBG I photographed a New Holland and I have shown both below for comparison. I’d appreciate opinions on whether the second bird is a hybrid or perhaps an immature. The white cheeks are larger and the white iris is missing.
