Up early this morning, so I decided to document the dawn chorus. I noted down the time I first heard a species calling. First light at around 6.20am, sunrise at 7.09, partly cloudy, about 2 degrees, no wind.

6.22 Australian Magpie
6.29 Sulphur-crested Cockatoo
6.30 Common Myna
6.32 Pied Currawong
6.37 Australian Raven
6.38 Eastern Spinebill, Magpie-Lark
6.40 Common Blackbird
6.43 Weebill
6.45 Noisy Miner
6.46 Rainbow Lorikeet
6.47 Red Wattlebird
6.50 Crimson Rosella
6.55 Brown Thornbill
6.56 Red-rumped Parrot

Of note:
- I finished before sunrise as several new species calling (e.g. Galah, Eastern Rosella) had flown in.
- The first spinebill to call was roosting in the shrubs just beside the house and within 20 seconds three other spinebills in separate locations called too.
- I didn't hear the Laughing Kookaburras that call almost every morning about 200m to the south.

Cheers
Anthony
