Yesterday Alan and I had a very pleasant (although chilly) walk at the wetlands.  The highlights were 4 shovelers which we saw from the Cygnus hide.  As well there was a Black Swan sitting on a nest in the same water, arranging its new looking plant material.

On a different topic there were very large numbers of calling frogs further round amongst reeds.  There would have been at least three species including Crinea signifera and Crinea parinsignifera.
