On the Wednesday Walks members occasionally check FlightRadar to check up on aircraft and it is amazing to see how far away they can be (eg Bungonia).  In a similar vein a member of a weather group I am in posted this today.  He would have used radar to work out where the storm was!  I think he lives somewhere near Newcastle!

Quite a mild night it was. Managed to capture some offshore lightning, it was offshore alright some 200ks offshore and I could even see lightning from those storms offshore from south of Wollongong.
