Sorry that really is not enough to advise on. Most common owl is Boobook, they are basically spotted in various shades of brown. Other, less common owl is Barn Owl, fawn above and pure white below. Not sure what you know but Tawny Frogmouth is not an owl but people often think it is. They are sort of mostly mottled grey. Do you have any decent bird books to look in, or if not, look up these names on internet, for example http://canberrabirds.org.au/birds/.

Hi all,

 

I saw an owl a couple of nights ago in Fisher on the bike-path that runs parallel to Tuggeranong Parkway at around 7.30pm.  It was light grey.  What type of owl is this likely to be?
