Hi All,
A request below from Birgita Hansen (FedUni, Snipe Project among other things).
I will send out a Snipe update soon too – our birds are still getting around Newcastle.
Cheers Lori

Subject: Calling for contacts in relation to snipe hunting
Hi All
We are part way through a project investigating the relationship between the ratification of the Japan Australia Migratory Bird Agreement and the ban on snipe hunting in Australia. The project is a social research project and is focusing
on interviews with ex-snipe hunters and past government staff. I have a very capable honours research student who is leading the field work. We are now seeking to expand our pool of potential participants. A few of you I have already been in contact about
this.
If any of you know of previous snipe hunters who might be willing to be contacted (or are still alive!), and / or past government staff – regional, state or federal – that might have had some involvement with hunting regulation, I would
be very grateful to receive some contacts.
Cheers
Birgita
