There are a few birds down in Mallacoota that have appeared in our garden quite often but have never appeared in any of the GBS sites I operated in Canberra.  The most recent of these is a juvenile Spotted Harrier.  A few days ago it did 3 laps of the lawn - possibly looking, with gustatory intent, for the resident Common Bronzewings.  Today it perched for a short while on top of our Bowerbird-excluding cover on the veggie patch for a short time.  The short time was 2 seconds less than it took me to grab a camera.
