One of our carers has 60 birds at her place from various vets. The hail caused untold damage to the birds. Many were euthanased by vets as well.
I was at Commonwealth Park assessing flying foxes, terrible casualties and injuries requiring euthanasia, There were seagulls and a large assortment of other avian species brought to us there. Wings were smashed to smithereens, just shredded. So awful.
Luckily we had vets there to assist.
