One of our carers has 60 birds at her place from various vets.  The hail caused untold damage to the birds.  Many were euthanased by vets as well.

I was at Commonwealth Park assessing flying foxes, terrible casualties and injuries requiring euthanasia,  There were seagulls and a large assortment of other avian species brought to us there.  Wings were smashed to smithereens, just shredded.  So awful.  Luckily we had vets there to assist.

My neighbours and I found an injured red-rumped parrot after the storm yesterday. We caught it and took it to Kippax vet where I was told they already had 20-30 birds that had been brought in injured in the storm. And that’s just one vet clinic.
