Thanks Geoffrey, when I checked mine on the NW end of Cooleman Ridge this morning 3 fledglings which could fly reasonably well were being fed in a tree about 30 m from the nest in which they were still in a week ago.
So they have managed to survive in the strong winds so far. Unfortunately the three from Kanooka St Rivett (the scene of the double breeding in 2017) haven’t been so lucky, while they fledged around 26 October only 1 had survived by the
end of the month.

by the GBB fledglings at Rocky Knob neighbourhood park. They weren’t blown out of the nest, just clambered out one after the other. When last seen 2 were on ground, one clinging to foliage. Best left to parents to sort out, I thought.
