Came home this evening to a chorus of koels in the cherry tree across the back fence. Two males and one female. Males were giving the ‘wirra-wirra-wirra’ call, and the female was responding with a harsher, higher ‘kek-kek-kek-kek’, then the birds would flap around for a bit, and start calling again. Attendant Noisy Miners were not impressed.
