Thanks for assembling these Sandra.  Without opening the links, it seems to me 7 are of the doomsday variety, and 2 relate to the harmless whimsy of the BoY project which reveals more about the voters than the favoured birds.  The one on stopping birds hitting windows seems useful, but it does not seem news that a curtain OUTSIDE the window will help stop birds flying into the window.  I can see low-tech versions of that idea being quite effective.
