EBird also shows a record (logged against Woodstock NR but almost certainly the same site seen from a different angle) in March 2006.

The eBird records are a bit thin as the period of observation is well before EBird came into the COG mindset.  Looking at the more detailed information BirdInfo on the COG website gives a pretty good idea of when it was around.  Has anyone given any thought to updating that extremely useful material?

I did, actually, Jack.

The Common Sandpiper at Uriarra Crossing was in 2003-4 and 2004-5. Published on CBN 30 (2) June 2005. But it had also been there in September 2002 which is what triggered my observations.
In 2003-4 it was around for at least a month from 29 December, but it's not known how long it hung around for.
In 2004-5, with more systematic observing, it seems it was around from at least 22 Oct 2004 to 26 March 2005.

Hello Harvey, did you ever check back to when you used to see it for a number of years at Uriarra Crossing and then wrote it up for CBN?  Looking at the Bird Info data on the COG web site, I expect it was from 2004-2006 as this co-incides with the highest peak in reports.

Many thanks
